We recently picked up a Ford Maverick for a commuter rig and have a roll-up tonneau cover installed on i...

Brands Can Do Better! Things That Matter...and Don't To Our Crew #emtb

#ebike #loamwolf Join us for this discussion of things we'd like to see the Industry improve on, what topics are most important, what would prevent us from buying a certain eMTB, and more importantly, what wouldn't. Over the years we have tested over a hundred different eBikes and have come away with quite a few thoughts and impressions from our own rides and talking with friends, strangers and...
Watching after getting a 35mm that doesn't fit my 31.8mm stem :(
These bikes look good. The name puts me off so much though, it sounds like a fitness brand aimed at boxers on a budget, and wannabe gangsters that wear their matching tracksuits and women's necklaces while hanging out on the corner drinking before noon on Monday. "Ari" isn't any better, it makes me think of the guy trying to sell me the previously mentioned necklace.
I was there and what an incredible experience. I won't miss it as long as I live.
I’ll be keeping my Enve M735 wheels
I’m very happy with my cdale trail se. Never see much press on the se, but it is a fun bike to ride on mellower trails.
Cool Propain was there doing demos. Has LoamWolf ridden their bikes recently? I confess to lust for the Spindrift
Bafang is better
I live S. Oregon, about 3 hours from Oakridge, and I never knew about this event.....Next year I'm definitely going!
Awesome! Hope to see you there.
The fluid inside helmet from 2019 was superior, why did you choose to remove the magnets from the visor and pit screws.... wtf
This was my first year attending. Definitely a fun crowd and awesome trails!
Glad to hear you had as much fun as we did!
it was a great weekend! Thx for letting me tag along! Mbo is the best!
Tag along... More like leading the charge and flinging trailside debris in my path! haha. Fun riding with you as always buddy.
The “self proclaimed MTB capital” has 300 vertical feet. Somehow they feel entitled to this distinction on a continent with CO, UT, ID, BC, MT, WA, OR, CA, etc. I would like to know how much the Loam Wolf got paid to say this.
We merely shared that Bentonville has “self proclaimed” themselves, that means they said they’re the MTB capital, we didn’t give them that title. Pointing out what they’ve named themselves isn’t an endorsement. In other words, we did not get paid to share that bit of information. Bentonville has never paid us to endorse, agree or promote their city.
I’ve been meaning to get up there for that event. Maybe next year!
Definitely worth a visit man.
If I didn't live 45 minutes from Oakridge and ride this stuff all of the time, I'll say: MBO IS A MUST DO!
We are 138 😎🤘
🤘💀🤘
Thank you for capturing the magic of Mountain Bike Oregon! Our 19th annual festival was a blast and we can't wait for next year for our 20th anniversary - hope you will be along again as well!
Our pleasure! Thanks for having us out!
damn wtf I was just riding there for a week last week!!! Drove right through Oakridge on my way out! Ugh!
First comment and like
Such a great time!
Great times!
9:10 dude is biking in a button up with a collar lol never seen that before 😅
Haha, maybe he had a zoom meeting during the ride.
I had an Abojo Peak a couple years back. It was the base model. Loved it! I'm not a pro mtb rider but, very experienced. It got stolen! I waited a year and tried the Aventon Aventure. Good bike, just didn't fit the riding I do. Researched a lot and decided on the 2022 model Wire Peak Comp. It has the E6000 60nm motor. I love this bike. More than enough power for tech steep climbs. Handles well. In all honesty, I'm having a bit of trouble getting used to the full 29 setup. I feel a bit tippy on it. I'm out of shape and practice so that might have a lot to do with that.
Here in the UK nearly everyone that I know who owes a Trek Rail wish they had gone for the TR5 entry level and upgraded where and when necessary.
I love riding a mountain bike in nature in silence, but what really bothers me is the noise of this machine which makes a noise like a pan. So it's a product to forget about real shit.
Best Trail eMTB - Cannondale Moterra SL1 Most likely to recommend(All Rounder)- Ari Timp Peak PRO Best Value eMTB - Canyon Strive:ON CFR Best Racer Pick - Orbea Wild M11 Custom Best Downhill bike - Nocrco range VLT C1 Best Versatilke eTMB - Pivot Shuttle LT Team XTR
will see.. I will pair it with microshift advent x deruiler, kmc chain and race face 30t ring. 💪🙏
Can warrantee cover second owner
No Trek? lots of other top brands not included
That is correct. We invited many of the brands not in attendance however they opted to sit this year out. We would assume that is because an update is on the horizon and they don't want to have an older model bike competing when a hot new one is on the way??? BUT, we can't officially confirm or deny that assumption. 😉
Great show guys !!! Very unbiased & neutral like it should be !! Very enjoyable!!! See you next year for another shoot out !!!!!!
Thank you very much! Hopefully we are you again before then!
Really helpful thanks
Glad to hear it thank you.
Yo that spin was crazy\
I wish I saw this video before buying the non RS version when I got it the difference in price wasn't that much but tbh I didn't do my homework I didn't think they were much different. The regular version mips didn't fit that well and never stopped creaking it came and go for about a month before I ordered a Trigger FF (non mips alleluia) anyway apparently from talking with users the RS version creaks way less. 😮
Bmx🙌🏄♂️🔥
Rad all day 🎉❤
Ordered a YT Capra Core 5 about a month ago, was stolen/lost in transport.. no fault on YT for this issue. They helped me get another one as quickly as possible and it’s amazing. Worth the wait! Customer service and quality bikes for 1/2 the cost of the big names. Yeah bois
Thank you for the nice review 🎉 I Like the Color from Orbea, is it the Blue Carbon view?
When I got my first 29er I couldn't manual and cased most jump I was used to, so I got back to a 27.5 for 4 years complaining how 29er were shit. Humans 😂
8:05 it is Not 720 Wh it is 630 wh without the extender 👍
Best comparison review!. Ari timp peak vs Pivot Shuttle Lt, looks like shuttle is higher so potentially less pedal strikes, which would you guys pick for dh on rough desert tracks? I ride a lot of tech too but also high speed and jumps, both would probably work but which has better support is probably the deciding factor. Or kenevo sl since 145 pounds might be fine but gotta test that one.
We need more of these types of videos and close ups of damage so the manufactures will take more notice. Also service needs to be seriously factored into bike recommendations.
Have you ever used one of those manual trainers? Are they a gimmick? I'd like to find the balance point without busting my a$$ lol!
One of our guys who struggled with manuals did use one and he noticed results! Not to say that same effort spent outside would have been different results, but when it’s 20 degrees outside and snowing, it makes practice easier. Haha
@@TheLoamWolf LOL totally! Thanks for the response. Love your channel BTW!
Thank you very much we appreciate that! Glad to have awesome fans like yourself.
Working back brake is good to have, i once manualed over pudle with some speed ( maybe 20km/h), realised that my back brake doesn't work thay good and looped over, luckily my backpack broke the fall😅 And that was one my most successful manuals ever😁
2nd 🥈 comment here and i’m still struggling to manual my tricycle
We heard that can be tricky!
❤😂😢😮🎉😢😮😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 nice Maverick and I wish I could find a maverick like that for 23,000 and whatever change but I’m gonna wait until they get the bugs out for the recalls which always will happen with recalls. That’s a nice truck take care of it and enjoy your bike ride. There’s nice trailers up here In the Is also bike trails in Shasta Lake very nice ones for bike trail
Man I want this for the L track in my campervan. I have two other exterior bike carriers for the family but be great to just load my bike without straps and hit the trails. Would work too for my kid's 50cc motocross bikes.
Love this bike!! I put a Pike to split the difference in efficiency, weight and downhill prowess and love it. I got the Team xtr which sheds some weight and I’m just a little over 27.5lbs. Best of both worlds. Hopefully Pivot or Fox will come out with that in between 35mm fork. For now I’m extremely happy
1st 🥇 comment here and I’m still struggling to manual my bike
Its the "lycra wienie" attitude, you see it at the bike shop too road wienies who think their Tour de France...I always ask "had a bad day at the buggy whip factory dudette"
Wish you guys woulda thrown in the stumpjumper over the enduro
